Think Agricultural, meat packing and hospitality.
It’s not companies like that either.
Then who hires them?
Without papers? Mostly their family members or friends.
Or… hospitality corporations.

I’ve never heard of a modern Democrat who didn’t like the 1st Amendment. Who are you thinking of?
The like it for themselves to have the right to offend others. TRUE. But they feel it should not apply to voices that offend them.
Examples?
Kendi’s parroting of Marcuse on repressive tolerance.
What does that have to do with the 1st?
It’s called purging our military of anyone that doesn’t toe white elitist libs line.

The right tried to push that liberal media & mainstream media is all lies.
“All”? The right “tried to push that” the liberal and mainstream media lie a lot, like Galileo “tried to push that” the earth revolves around the sun.
And its been very effective, it seems.
While threats of violence are wrong and should be investigated, the 1st amendment doesn’t guarantee the right to speak a universities.

What if they receive funding from the government? Should they be getting government funding?

You don’t think it might be a bit problematic if universities that receive government funding are required to provide a platform and all the organization, work, and infrastructure required to open the auditorium at night, provide lighting, sound, etc… to anyone who wants to? Not to mention all the security required if someone is controversial?

What does that have to do with the 1st?
Everything.
The Rationalization of the Repression.
They were all invited.

If they have government funding and if they rent out a place for speakers, they cannot discriminate based on the content of that speech.

Kendi supports restricting the 1st amendment? And he’s representative of the majority opinion of Democrats?

Read the link, then read Kendi again.
He’s representative of your opinion.

The threats of violence if Milo Yanopolis and other politicallvy incorrect thinkers were allowed to speak at certain liberal campuses.
Didn’t that guy get booted from speaking at CPAC?
