What the CEC is missing and all of those who are cynically lapping it up is that if the lying to the FBI charge is dropped… then really bad things like charging him with secretly working for a foreign government while acting as National Security Advisor gets pursued.
They have no idea that this is the best case scenario for Flynn and the government is doing him a huge favor.

There are actually three separate rulings that were made by the Judge. And the government and General Flynn’s attorneys agreed to all three together through their filings. This is quite consistent SOP for Judge Sullivan, and several Jurists in fact. Why Fox chose to declare the requests extraordinary does not make much logical sense. It seems hyperbolic and emotional. Perhaps to help drive ratings.
