They furloughed the school bus drivers here (me) for two weeks (for starters). The union contract has language associated with “declared state wide emergencies” so when the governor ordered schools closed for 2 weeks? A paid vacation. Not sure if it will be extended past the 27th, the spring break was scheduled to begin the following week. I’m of the opinion they’ll extend through Easter then reassess. We wouldn’t have gotten paid during spring break so I’m hoping those $1,000.00 checks start rolling in!!

I think they are up to $1200 now.

Not a problem. They’ll just run the presses 24/7 … or borrow it from the Chinese.

The joke will be the availability of TP at yard sales and pop ups for pennies on the dollar. The big chains have already made to clear there will not be returning of paper products.

It’s non perishable as long as they store it properly. My first father in law who was born in 1902 and remembered the depression well kept an entire closet full of TP.

After experiencing the “Johnny Carson” toilet paper in the ‘70s, a buddy of mine stocked up on cases of toilet paper and paper towels and stashed them up in his unheated attic. Two years ago, he suffered a stroke and moved to an assisted living home, leaving his house to a daughter. Recently he died, leaving his old friends wondering if his daughter has any idea that she is living under a gold mine.
