I’m addressing your claim there was an attempt to put language in the ACA to attempt to “control guns”.
The answer to this is there was no such attempt…this was a myth propagated to rile up conservatives…and indeed the exact opposite ended up happening…and the inclusion of such language was led by a Democrat.

No there was not.
The only thing that came close was Obama explaining…after the ACA passed…that the restrictions did not PREVENT doctors from asking about guns in the home- there was no language being slipped in saying doctors should ask- and what the Reid restrictions did prohibit was any extensive data collection when it came to gun ownership.

Those provisions were included by Reid at NRA insistence. Biden had nothing to do with it.
The President is calling on lawmakers to pass some specific proposals, including the elimination of all loopholes and require a universal background check on anyone trying to buy a gun, restoring the ban on military-style assault weapons and a 10-round limit for magazines, and creating tougher penalties on people who buy guns with the express purpose of reselling them to criminals.
Emphasis mine. Mag limits include pistols. The criteria for “assault weapons” goes far beyond ARs.
These actions are the result of the effort led by Vice President Joe Biden and members of the Cabinet to come up with concrete steps that we can take right now to keep our children safe, help prevent mass shootings, and reduce the broader epidemic of gun violence in this country.
Biden is a gun grabber for everything except clay pigeon guns shot off a balcony or through a door.

The liberal-socialists plan will be to tax the bejesus out of .223 and 5.56 retail ammunition and reloading supplies or regulate the manufacturers out of existence. They’ll use the CDC to declare “AR Style” rifle platforms a “Health Hazard” based on murders committed by mentally deranged individuals who gained access to a magazine fed semi-automatic weapon and killed indiscriminately.

What were we just talking about? if he was out to “get our guns”, he would have done it when he had a Dem-controlled Congress.

Obamacare didn’t need specific language allowing or mandating it, just not prohibiting it. Then I can direct the CDC to collect it.
