As the video shows he had his gun out in advance which was clearly visible. Per the interview video he says multiple times that he provided verbal warnings not to breach the barricade but because of the yelling by the rioters that couldn’t be heard via cell phone video form the other side.

He didn’t position himself where he could easily be seen…like his counterparts on the other side…PERIOD! There is no excuse and if there is no jury, this will never fully be put to bed.

People were yelling “gun” repeatedly so he was visible. Quit trying to create a false narrative.

A protester yelling “gun” does not constitute a warning by the cop that they intend to shoot anyone. Cops unholster their guns considerably more often than they shoot someone.

I was responding to the notion that Ashlee was unaware of the gun.

Was she? What evidence says she was? (Sounds like a false narrative to me. ) But more importantly, what does it matter? It is Byrd’s actions that are on “trial” here. Well, unless you are blaming the victim, that is.

No, one person on the other side (from Ashli) said it twice. There is no evidence that she heard it. And as I said, what difference would it make? Most cops have guns, don’t they? And they don’t routinely go around shooting people just because they are scared, do they?

I could hear it quite easily in the video taken from the rioters side of the doors. I think it likely she heard it, you feel otherwise. It’s ok to disagree.
