The sinister, twisted fact is, had Ashli not been murdered but arrested, she would have gotten worse treatment- as the current Jan. 6th prisoners are getting.

It makes me sick to my stomach to say this, but Ashli would not have been any better off alive, because then she would be arrested and then tortured in jail like the others.

It is still horrible what happened to her, though. For herself and her family.

Heck, he is safer than, in the scenario of say, in a house in a bad neighborhood and it’s the middle of the night and someone on meth comes banging on the door and yelling erratically. Because at least then he would have the excuse of getting his gun and pointing it towards the perceived threat.

As the video shows he had his gun out in advance which was clearly visible. Per the interview video he says multiple times that he provided verbal warnings not to breach the barricade but because of the yelling by the rioters that couldn’t be heard via cell phone video form the other side.

He didn’t position himself where he could easily be seen…like his counterparts on the other side…PERIOD! There is no excuse and if there is no jury, this will never fully be put to bed.

People were yelling “gun” repeatedly so he was visible. Quit trying to create a false narrative.

A protester yelling “gun” does not constitute a warning by the cop that they intend to shoot anyone. Cops unholster their guns considerably more often than they shoot someone.

In those situations, do they holster the gun again when the person they upholstered it for breaks through a barricade separating the cop from the person?

Or do they do something else?

If the person is not attacking the officer or another person, and not drawing, holding or brandishing a weapon in a threatening manner, they are not justified in using lethal force. Period.

We have had many discussions in this Forum on the use of lethal force by police. In every one of those discussions, the issue of the threat posed by the the person who was shot was the determining factor in justifying the shooting. We even had a couple where the cop shot someone who was walking away from the officer, in which the cop’s actions were condemned by cons and libs alike. The only thing unique about this one is that libs think Ashli deserved it merely because of where she was and who she was there for.

DOJ did not reinvestigate. They read the report and concurred.

A review of a review is not two reviews. The combined reviews were incestuous in nature … both the Capital Police and the DOJ had a vested interest in finding no fault in the incident.

That was back in April. Capitol police didn’t clear him until August.

Oh wow! Well if it was that thorough no wonder they exhonorated him.
