Where you been? Investigators at nearly every federal, state and local law enforcement level including DA and prosecutors offices use “confidential informants” while building cases. Nearly all have “shady” backgrounds or have made plea deals that include cooperation so their degrees of criminality are lessened. To condemn Rudy Giuliani for conducting an investigation of sorts and associating with known “shady people” is naive and foolish.
Joe Biden already did, in public and there’s video evidence to prove it. To deny the “coincidence” of Hunter Biden’s seat on the Board of Burisma and the ouster of Vicktor Shokin as a prosecutor in a corruption case involving Burisma would be complete naïveté!
So, if an action of foreign policy is publicly accepted widely and deeply, it must be blackmail for personal / private purposes separate from the popular public purpose? You’re making no sense.

I know you will continue to ignore context because that’s the only way to defend the conman you adore, but Biden acted publicly, with the support of the President and several international bodies, to address an issue of corruption. Since Shoken was not investigating Burisma or the Biden family there was no personal gain.
Trump acted in secret for personal gain.

Conjecture and hearsay. There are legal ways to remove Shokin without bribes.
Shokin was investigating Burisma. The argument is whether it was an inactive or dormant status.
Even THAT is of less importance than telling the Ukraine they have 6 hours to fire a single person or they don’t get the Billion.
The international bodies would have more standing that Biden and an acceptable appeal process.
And inversely the prosecution wants to make believe the Biden matter only exists in a future context and that the future context can only harm Biden. THAT is the destruction of reason and balance.
