That’s not even close to being true.
I don’t know about that. If you’re poor, you’re still better off not getting sick.
Why anyone thinks government is the answer to the problem the same government created to begin with is beyond me.
I’m not actually trying to rationalize any specific proposal here… Medicare for all or any other proposal’s support won’t come from the members on hannity.com. It’s building with the millions of American’s who see the real results of our health care system today. They are the ones who will vote in members who will work to create a solution…
What percentage of people from other countries come here for non-elective procedures? Elective procedures? If it’s a fraction of a percent, I’m not concerned with outliers when talking about aggregate healthcare policy.
Some countries have longer wait times for elective procedures, some have similar or shorter wait times (switzerland, germany, netherlands, france, etc).
One main better result: universal coverage. Lack of insurance coverage leads to thousands of premature deaths in our system each year. It leads to financial ruin.
Control is 100%? You mean like a bunch of bureaucrats deciding what priorities to set for research of drugs, procedures, salaries and wages of health care professionals, etc…?
Nope I tend to buy tickets for concerts and sports in the US as it is cheaper.
Groceries are more expensive here but minimum wage is also 14 dollars an hour.
Oh you’re still under the impression that our representatives are actually representing us and not their corporate lobbyists. Good luck with that.
If you’re NOT poor, you’re better off not getting sick.
Corporate lobbyist’s like drug companies and health insurance companies?
You are assuming, like the bureaucrats and politicians responsible for the ACA, that the only way to obtain health care, is by purchasing health care insurance.
Exactly. The same folks who lobbied and pushed for Obamacare. That’s why it’s so comical you people are trying to compare this with what they have in other countries. Our government does not even remotely work the same way.
Aren’t these the same who lobbied against single payer when the ACA was being debated? Do you think these entities want a Medicare for All system?
Now why on Earth would corporations be giddy over government mandating people buy their products? Let me think…
You could pay out of pocket. No one is stopping you. It’s only a problem if you ever need medical care.
I’m not assuming anything. I’m stating facts.
In name only. That’s the problem, instead of discussing what’s actually being proposed, we’re discussing what should be proposed. It’s the same mistake many made with Obamacare too. It sounds great, until our lawmakers get done with it and it doesn’t resemble what they were promising.
That’s the problem, people like you think either you buy insurance, or pay out of pocket directly.
Let me guess, you view our only options, as paying big insurance corporations, a complete government takeover with single payer insurance, or socialist universal health care fully taxpayer funded.
And yet it was the govt that had to break up monopolies, and business hates competition.
Which seems to be the myopic view that it’s either pay as you go, or buying health care insurance, or a complete government takeover with a socialist styled universal health care.
So are you mad that MC is negotiating lower rates, or mad that MC doesn’t keep up with inflation, or that in our free market, doctors can opt out of MC?
