No, it’s not insurance.
Here is the definition of that word.
from Insurance Definition & Meaning | Dictionary.com
the act, system, or business of insuring property, life, one’s person, etc., against loss or harm arising in specified contingencies, as fire, accident, death, disablement, or the like, in consideration of a payment proportionate to the risk involved.
If its in the red, its no longer insurance its an entitlement.

Call it what you like.
Do you have
Thought so.
Call it what you like.
Excellent!
Government taking over control of an entire industry, is not inherently a socialist concept? What is it to you then, just a common sense progression?
Universal healthcare doesn’t require government taking over control of an entire industry. See the Dutch model. Private insurers, private providers, private hospitals. That’s not socialism, unless you want to make up your own definition for it.
I am willing to consider single payer and even try it. But you libs have an idea, not a plan.
If I have to have insurance policies also, it’s not single payer any more, now is it?
Claiming we can do it like Norway or Sweden is horse hockey too. We might be able to get some ideas, but they are completely different from us.
What differences preclude us from adopting their systems (or others, such as Germany, France, Netherlands, etc)?

What about those things, specifically, precludes us from implementing a healthcare system?

Yes we get it you Americans are not very smart. You can not do what most of the world can do. It is why you have to play games against 5th graders.
I thought Trump would try it.

Yeah millions of dollars spent on the website in Oregon that never materialized.
What does that have to do with the federal exchange? Oregon pols messed up-take it up with them.
Where did all that money go
Take it up with Oregon pols. No idea.
and why don’t you people care?
Who do you define as “you people” and why do you assume I don’t care? I’m definitely against wasteful spending and big government inefficiency. But I’m against it in ALL cases, not just when one side or the other does it.
Is our population even remotely close health and habit wise? Do they have the people on the dole we do? Do they have the immigration flood we do? Do they work like we do?

Lucky for the world, that relies heavily on our medical innovations.
What does that have to do with the federal exchange?
Because the Feds were the ones who mandated the State do it. They certainly didn’t follow through on how the Federal money for the website was actually spent though. Imagine that. It’s almost like they didn’t actually care or something.

You’re absolutely correct. Just remember I could take your entire country in a week with a Girl Scout Troop and a Salvation Army marching band.
And we’re smart enough to know the difference between bacon and ham.

Medical innovations is usually through international cooperation.
I have been in studies that are joint Canadian and US.
Doctors come here to learn techniques and doctors from here go there.
To make more money.

You can barely drive across this country in a week.
