We are doing just fine.

I remember going to NYC in the 70s and dog feces all over the place…they cleaned it up then…and compared to the way cities used to be 100 + years ago, cities are quite clean.

People still don’t clean up after their damn dogs in my neighborhood down certain streets. I clean up after my dog.

How is the community being “ravaged” by doctors writing prescriptions? How does your addiction behind your own doors “ravage” me and mine? What on earth are you talking about?

It hurts the families of those involved. It affects public safety when you have more and more people acting irrationally or dangerously in public due to opioid abuse, especially behind the wheel. It hurts local economies where people are unable to find reliable employees who aren’t popping pills or injecting themselves. It has the potential to cause increases in crime when people get desperate to find their next fix. And it creates an absolutely terrible relationship between doctors and patients where many are basically legalized dope dealers pushing product from Big Pharma into communities, all paid for by the government.

I grew up in rural Maine. The entire state has roughly 1.3 million people. In 2000 we had around 25 overdose deaths. 17 years later that number was 360. The overdose rate is roughly twice the national average. And those are just deaths…not including the untold thousands of people suffering behind their closed doors, hurting their families, and further weakening already damaged communities.

Do you know anybody in the low income tax credit bracket? I do and she got double the amount of a child tax credit then she did the previous year and she got almost twice the amount of a refund.

Raccoons are just creepy. It’s their little hands.

I live right by a large cemetery, sometimes when I come home late at night from work I see them running down the street in packs.

Those little trash Pandas are cute… but they are getting out of control.

I had a family of them hanging out on the fire escape to my bedroom window and I live on the third floor.

Back when I lived in your current neighborhood there were no raccoons. Monk Parakeets sure, but no raccoons.

It’s kind of the same where I live now. Never saw deer 20 years ago, but now the place is crawling with them.
