What could Possibly Go Wrong? Environmental radicals call for people to flatten SUV tires in Texas

I also like how this organization doesn’t mind private jets, huge sprawling mansions like those of Kerry, Bloomberg, etc. but they want to ■■■■ with regular people’s SUV. ■■■■■■■ cowards.

You haven’t looked.

The outrage porn you read obviously doesn’t cover democrats being banned.

Do you use Twitter?

I have an account just for browsing. I don’t post.

So now you’re limiting the field to elected officials?

That’s a convention goalpost move.

Maybe Democrat politicians just don’t violate Twitter’s rules?

It couldn’t be that simple, could it?

But then you wouldn’t be able to feel that warm victimhood.

Is deflating a tire even “damage”?

Just trying to find any democrats who have been banned, suspended, anything. I’m not finding much.

Because you don’t want to find anything.

Perhaps you can show me?

You make my vehicle temporarily inoperable, I’d say that’s damage.

Probably not. It’s definitely petty vandalism, though.

Maybe within the strictures of the law, but not by any real world definition of the word.

Google yields no results for “petty vandalism”. I don’t think that is a legal concept or charge. I think criminal mischief

Purposely or recklessly tampers with tangible property of another so as to endanger person or property

Is probably the correct crime being committed here.

Had numerous flat tires. Never went more than a few feet without realizing it.

The name of the charge will vary from state to state - but pretty much all states will stratify the charge level based on the dollar amount of the damage.

When I say “petty vandalism,” I mean the lowest level - whether it be “4th Degree Criminal Mischief,” or “3rd Degree Vandalism” or whatever.

Is this an effective tactic to win people over to your side?

They obviously want people to suffer… and that’s supposed to make them more sympathetic to your cause?

Or is it just going to piss people the hell off and cause them to hate you more?

I think criminal mischief.

Adbusters isn’t trying to “win people over.”

They’re certainly not making me want to get rid of my suv.

Do you think that’s what they’re trying to do?

It’s not.

It’s to engender a systemic aversion to SUV’s. Just makes me want to buy another when I’m ready for a new vehicle. I like the one I have now so I could easily go to a newer model when I’m ready rather than a car.

Ok. Go for it.

They’re not trying to convince you of anything.
