Tim is NOT a self-loathing white male.
Of course you can criticize what happened in America’s past. But didn’t pretend that only Blacks were held as slaves.
What other type of slaves were owned in America?
That’s not very convenient to the idea that white people are to blame for slavery.
Who bought the slaves?
Black Africans selling other black Africans does not help whatever point you are trying to make.
Hotel California was released.
Who bought the slaves?
William Ellison for one.
Trying to walk the talk around to claim that the 1619 Project tripe should be taught as history and that our children should be indoctrinated in critical theory, teaching them that they are systemic oppressors, or victims isn’t teaching, or even talking about history.
That is not happening, in the real world.
There is no reason for anyone alive today to feel anything at all about history.
Damn that is a bold statement. Does that appliy to all history?
Look what I found: For Joanne Barber, a second grade teacher at Crestwood Elementary School in Kent, last year’s Black Lives Matter protests presented an opportunity for her to teach more about race. Her class starts with defining social justice and talking about slavery, which led to institutional racism and implicit bias. Barber also weaves race and equity into every subject. Whether it’s learning about scientists or mathematicians of color, sharing social justice facts or reading about…
It is also based on the false premise that the United States was built solely on the backs of slave labor.
Is that being taught? Do you some examples of that? Key word, solely.
DougBH: johnwk2:So, as I previously, and correctly stated, white people do not have all the power in this country as asserted.
Over the last thirty years, how many Presidents would be the same if only white people’s votes were counted? That alone repudiates the idea that only white people have all the power. This is not 1950.
Like I said above it more about whether white people can use the power they have. As long as 40% side with libs… its will be harder to use that power.
Oh and to answer your question… only 1 in the last 200+ years was non white.
If you insist on racial solidarity, that is the inevitable outcome, majority demo wins. And when white people realize they are being discriminated against well, they will reassert that majority power.
Hotel California was released.
A hallmark for civil rights. I’d add that Apple was incorporated and Jimmy was elected. Thank God that was the last year of systemic racism.

I’d add that some Holocaust survivors would like to have a few words.

Should one believe their own eyes, or the emperor’s tailors?

Until now.
I don’t personally feel anything about the holocaust either. I hadn’t been born yet. And I don’t have personal feelings about any other point of history that I have not participated in. Neither should anyone else, let alone entire groups, based on their ancestry. But then the entire point of what is being attempted is to spin a narrative to create an emotional response for a political objective. Shaming and aggrievement are required to achieve the objective.
Just say racist.
I aim waaaaay better than they do.
You don’t know yourself.
Racism is just the human failing being exploited in the effort to achieve the political objective.
SixFoot:I aim waaaaay better than they do.

That’s rich coming from a student of the basics.
Should one believe their own eyes,
Please share what you saw.
