Yes, it teaches young white children that it’s their ancestors fault, and they’re continuing institutionalized racism in America. More importantly, it teaches their black peers that white kids are the enemy.
Trying to walk the talk around to claim that the 1619 Project tripe should be taught as history and that our children should be indoctrinated in critical theory, teaching them that they are systemic oppressors, or victims isn’t teaching, or even talking about history. Refusing to allow our children, or society to be steeped in such garbage isn’t refusing to discuss historic slavery.
Our Founders intended ordinary citizens to keep and bear arms [a contemporary fire arm used by foot soldiers] so they would be ready and able to defend themselves against a despotic government if necessary. The AR-15-semi is a civilian version of the United States military’s M16 and ought to be kept by ordinary citizens to defend against a tyrannical government.
It’s one and the same. Teaching them it’s their ancestors fault is teaching them it’s their skin colors fault. Transitive properties dictate it’s therefore their fault. That initial precept is necessary to then instill guilt for institutionalized racism in America. Their whiteness is the problem, and they’re ALL told so.
Still trying to walk the talk around I see. There is no reason for anyone alive today to feel anything at all about history. But we both know that the objective of 1619 and critical theory are to elicit falsely manufactured feelings of guilt or victimhood.
The 1619 project and critical race theory conveniently ignore the United States came into existence in 1776, which is when existing slavery immediately began to be ended in the United States.
Not an excuse, an observation. Most conservatives I know are good people, that I like and respect. We disagree, politically, most of the time…but there are times where we find common ground.
Of course,I also hang out here and get a good representation of how many conservative think.
