WAR in Ukraine, Putin approves initiation of special military operation (Part 3)

So American trooops in Ukraine….

It’s my opinion that Russia wants to negotiate as much as Ukraine does, maybe more. So I don’t understand why the US is making concessions to Russia to lure them to the table. A carrot-and-stick approach is not needed when both sides want the war to end, and I disagree with which side is getting the carrot and which the stick. I also acknowledge that I don’t know everything and perhaps Trump’s strategy is the best path forward, even though it doesn’t make sense to me. The war is a terrible thing that should end ASAP.

I don’t think a DMZ requires international peacekeepers, does it? Let Russia and Ukraine patrol their own fence lines.

Do you believe it would be a good idea to alienate someone who you are fixin to negotiate with?

Plus with Trump, what he allows out into the public is oftentimes the exact opposite of what he is doing behind the scenes on negotiations.

Russia responds to force and power. I prefer the strategy that others have talked about here. Tell Putin it’s time to negotiate. If he refuses, point out that Biden was only providing half-ass support to Ukraine, just enough for them not to lose. If Russia doesn’t come to the table, we’ll give Ukraine our full support. That path is less likely to lead to WWIII than the current one, in my opinion.

That’s more like it.

I told ya.

There is ALWAYS more going on behind the scenes than he allows to get out.

I don’t know actually

Are you sure it’s not reflexive and instantaneous?

He is not bad at being reflexive and instantaneous but it still both of those things

Not for me.

Big Z is going to the table.

I have no problem with us completely pulling out and letting Europe handle it. Trump made the right call.

They have shown all the signs of being peaceful over the past quarter century. All of them.

Personally? Yes.

Can I prove it to you? Nope.

Annihilation isn’t as appealing.

 You think there’s “peace” in Korea?

Well, lets see.

Korean war ended in 1952 , and war hasn’t restarted.

So if the definition of peace is the absence of war, then yes. I do.

And before you even go there I am well aware that it was officially a “ceasefire “.

But doesn’t negate that they haven’t had war there for quite some time.

Are temporary stays of execution?
