WAR in Ukraine, Putin approves initiation of special military operation (Part 3)

They should send Zelenskyy the thank you card with a dozen roses for acting like a little bitch in the Oval Office.

I support some of Trump’s moves on this issue and disagree with others. I know that’s way too nuanced for this board.

Ah. Is that what passes in your circles for clever?

Must be do extremely small circles.

Kinda what I said yesterday.

What if it were your children fighting and dying?

You mean if my country was invaded by an aggressive neighbor and my family and neighbors were fighting for their existence? I would still agree with some of Trump’s moves and disagree with others.

Why is this sounding to me like the Biden approach to Russia with different window dressing?

Trump threatens Russia with sanctions and tarriffs unless they negotiate a ceasefire deal.

I thought he was on the Russians side?

Their country was invaded.

How did that stop the intel? Oh wait that’s right. Feelings were hurt. That means death

You’re probably right. This is something I didn’t consider. But in hindsight, I think this is true. Then they tried to kill him.

The former head of MI6 was involved in efforts to frame the Trump campaign as Russian operatives back in 2016. Last year he had this to say about the threat of a Trump reelection:

“Well seen from an intelligence perspective, the two things we need to worry about. Obviously, Ukraine and what China’s long-term behavior globally is going to be, particularly in relation to Taiwan and how threatening China is to Western interests. You have to add a political threat, which I’m worried about, which is, uh, Trump’s reelection, which I think for the UK’s national security, is problematic because if Trump, as it were, acts hastily and damages, the Atlantic alliance, that is a big deal for the UK.

"We’ve put all our eggs, in defense terms, in the NATO basket. If Trump really is serious about, as it were, changing the balance, I mean, the American nuclear umbrella for Europe, it’s, in my view, essential to Europe’s security and defense.”–former head of MI6, January 2024
Former Head of MI6 Warns Donald Trump’s Reelection is a ‘National Security’ Risk For the UK

MI6 has long had close relations with ultranationalist paramilitaries in Ukraine. Is it just a coincidence that Ryan Rooth, the second alleged assassin, appeared in an Azov video in 2022?

So that explains why do many on this very board think we should drag our feet on the peace process?

What if it was their children fighting and dying?

I don’t disagree with that. I take issue with the other costs. Both long term and short term. What stops Russia from killin more of them in 5 years?

An adequate peace plan, and following truce.

Has kept the peace between N and S Korea for almost 75 years.

Good comparison. I think any lasting peace in Ukraine is going to require a SK/NK-like DMZ.

Yup big joke while other people’s children are dying.

Would you like to inform all of us here about the intel that you have that the president doesn’t have.

Who’s joking?

I can’t disagree with Trump unless I have special intel? Is that the standard you held yourself to with Biden?

Thanks. Spent a year 8 miles south of the DMZ.

Not what I am saying at all.

Just wondering what intel or insights you may have that lead you to believe Trump is negotiating incorrectly.

Personally, I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt as I believe he is in possession of more information than I am.

You don’t really want to use that example with a straight face.
