Truss has, in a matter of weeks, set Labour up for a 400+ seat government

Looks like its going to come down between Sunak and Johnson.

Johnson knows if it goes to the party members he is far more popular with middle England than Sunak. He could conceivably be returned as leader and Prime Minister.

Johnson despite his many many flaws delivered Brexit and a spectacular election win for the Tories. He certainly is not someone I want back as PM but from a conservative party member perspective he offers more than Sunak.

Crazy times we are living in.

Regardless of what happens at the next election, i can guarentee Corbyn will reman on the opposition benches.

And just for the hell of it:

Latest poll:

Con - 19%
Lab - 56%
Lib - 10%
Ref - 5%
Gre - 4%

Which translates to:

Con - 0 seats
Lab - 560 seats
Lib - 14 seats
Ref - 0 seats
Gre - 1 seat
SNP - 52 seats
PlaC - 4 seats
Other - 1 seat
Northern Ireland - 18 seats

Labour 470 seat majority

On the upside, it would allow Conservatives to refill the party with completely new blood.

With 400+ Jeremey Corbins a Great Depression is likely on your horizon.

Look at what a mess even a small advantage by libs here has done in 2 years.

I wish you guys luck.

Elect Larry the Cat leader.

I don’t understand why Sunak wants the nod when he’ll almost certainly be out of power at the next general election.

Yeah lol Labour might wreck the British economy. Unlike the Tories who have done so well with the population staring down thousand pound a month electric bills this winter.

Corbyn has been expelled from the Parliamentary Labour party.

There are zero Corbyn’s, not 400.

400 libs is any better?

I used to watch them debate the PM when the Lady before Johnson was PM.

I found it interesting.

The Lib Dems wont get 400 seats.

You don’t see Labour is libs?

The Lib Dems are the liberals.

The clue is in the name.

Liberal revolutionary Keir Starmer lol.

Sir Keir Starmer…

Former Director of Public Prosecutions…

A dirty, commie hippy.

Is it weird to have leapfrogged the Australians in political dysfunction and are currently running neck and neck with our objectively insane electoral system? Aussies just got out of their George W. Bush phase and you all skipped right to brain dead toff Trump.

You are trying to apply US political terms to British politics which does not work.

I’ve listened to the debates. Can’t tell any difference between lib dems and labour positions.

I did used to enjoy Theresa May debates with parliment. I thought her much sharper than her parliment opposition.

My opinion of course. :grinning:

You weren’t listening then. Lib Dems and Labour hate each other.

Liz Truss, who you’ve been praising as she hits fast forward in the sun setting on Britannia, is ex-Lib Dem.
