Truss has, in a matter of weeks, set Labour up for a 400+ seat government

I wanted Sunak to win originally.

I really don’t like when it’s laid out all stark like that

They are legal fictions.

Nice!

And, thank you.

But who will head up the Ministry of Silly Walks?

We call it this now:

The next election is not scheduled until 2024. This nothing to force a snap election, so it looks like Boris Johnson could become Prime Minister again.

If the Conservatives are smart, they will follow Mario Draghi’s lead and let someone else get stuck with the growing energy crisis.

You have to understand, Bill is our reaident voice of Putin here. Check the threads concerning the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the one on the pipeline explosion. It is really evident there

Yeah, I’m aware.

Quite impressive how he manages to flood any thread, no matter the subject, with his pro-Putin agitprop.

I do not think Johnson will run but my gosh there is a lot of talk of him making a return.

I suspect Johnson just likes been back in the spotlight.

He’s about 6/5 and the ERG are preparing to support him.

And if he wins he will whip the Tories to block the privileges committee inquiry.

And then we really are a banana republic.

To add: the members vote will be online and any Tory member can vote. Even all the Russian citizens who are members. There is no way to make the process secure within a week, it will undoubtably be hacked.

I have a Westminster insider (sort of), wife’s husband works closely with an MP.

He said if Boris runs and it gets to a conservative party membership vote then Boris will win that.

Johnson is incredibly popular with the tory rank and file membership.

Sounds about right.

They are mad enough to do it.

Can you imagine if Johnson is elected and then has to resign LMAO.

This would be too far fetched even for a Thick of It episode!!!

If 400 Jeremy Corbin’s take over Parliment the UK is toast imo.

At this point it is really hard to argue that Labour would do worse than the Tories.

What are you referring to? Corbyn has no political power.
