He could have been much more proactive about people wearing cloth masks, and less confusing in his dismissal of mask effectiveness. But I read that above declaration to refer exclusively to medical grade/N95 masks, which were in short supply at the time. I certainly wouldn’t conflate that with a cloth mask, which wouldn’t be effective for medical professionals.
I see where there’s confusion, but to allege that Fauci lied? Horse hockey.
