Didn’t Obama pardon a convicted terrorist?
This is a rhetorical question, no need for anyone to get their panties in a bunch.
The WH does issue some of the reasoning behind these commutations and pardons. Highlighting and exaggerating the crime, without acknowledging the mitigating factors, may be politically expedient, but lacks human compassion.
And the president gave pardons to multiple people who lied to the FBI. Are you okay with that?
What is the topic of the thread? Who was pardoned by Trump for stealing hundreds of thousands in campaign funds for personal use?

The FBI listened to at least one phone call of former Trump campaign aide George Papadopoulos, according to a recently released text message of Peter Strzok, former head of FBI counterintelligence operations.
The text raises the question of what authority the FBI had to conduct such surveillance, particularly because, based on the text, the call with the Fox News executive took place on Jan. 11, 2017, two weeks before Papadopoulos’s voluntary FBI interview during which he later admitted he lied. Lying was the only crime he was charged with in the sprawling investigation into supposed collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, which failed to substantiate that any such collusion occurred.
The FBI declined to comment.

When Madeline Albright called killing 500,000 Iraqi children via sanctions “a hard choice that was worth it” it was ok though.
