So I’ll ask again, bald face lie, or just pulling a leg? It seems he was only persuaded in the 20 min car drive to the rally when he was told that it was a “chance to make a news splash at his Michigan rally.” He’s opposed it at every step of the way… but Im guessing you’re going to deny that.
I was going to write a length post but there’s no point. You’re so invested at this point you’d defend to the point of absurdity almost anything from this man so long as it advances your agenda (as you’ve aptly demonstrated in your post).
Yes, Trump supporters would applaud the president acting like a fool if it pisses off people who are saddened that this is what it’s come to. That doesn’t sound like a good thing to me.

Thank God for small favors. 
The funding was probably never in doubt. Trump submitted a budget that Congress was always going to ignore and do whatever they wanted.
Same with the Special Olympics. They’ve zeroed funding in their budget submissions every year. It’s always been funded by Congress anyway.
The president’s budget is never a document that anyone actually cares about in Congress.
But it does show the priorities of the administration. This administration doesn’t care.

Personally, I have too much respect for myself to lend my support to someone that constantly lies to me, but that’s not the only difference between Anti-Trumpers and Trump Supporters. lol
