OTOH, I’m perfectly fine if Pence and/or Pompeo have gotten in touch with the commanders and told them in no uncertain terms are they to follow through on any Trump orders to launch missiles without checking with them first.

Well the presser just concluded a couple of hours ago. I didn’t expect Ryan to tweet he’s drawing up articles of impeachment.
I will give them a bit of time, although won’t be surprised if nothing much changes.
