Three Reasons NOT to vote for Elizabeth Warren for Pres

She did not lie about her heritage. She relayed the stories that her grandmother told her when she was a child. What a terrible thing she did! But once memes like this start to bounce around the Internet they are repeated so often that they pass into the domain of received truth.

no. i am flinging observations around to point out how idiotic her proposals are

she backs this ridiculous joke of a “green new deal” to at least some significant degree enough for it to bring “economic equality” (leftspeak for socialism) and “racial justice” (leftspeak for ‘down with whitey’”)

nuanced my ass

nice try though

she’s listed her race as “american indian” on official documents, potentially several of them throughout the years (as she admits)

wake up

Read it again. No NEW leases on public lands and offshore. Drilling would continue.

89% of drilling for shale oil/gas (our current boom) is on private land unaffected by Warren’s idea here. Calm down.

Nice try? Your point about drilling being banned has been thoroughly obliterated because you were ignorant of what that meant.

Further, even on public lands where a company already had the lease and is actively drilling, they could continue to drill. Not just one well, but as many wells in that block as they like.

No NEW leases.

If the documents were public… what were they? They should be readily accessible.

I’m sufficiently woke for this discussion.

Well, she’s definitely qualified.

And you demonstrated your claim that you are not flinging insults by… flinging more insults.

Just as the market for natural gas is undermining the market for coal, the market for renewable energy will undermine the market for oil and gas. Warren and the Green New Deal have the potential to embrace the creative destruction capabilities of capitalism that have always been the engine of growth. The conservative disdain for economic change is profoundly anti-capitalist.

Gads no!

Perish the thought and bite your tongue!

So it’s a slow motion ban. Unless of course, you think the existing leases will produce what oil we need forever.

i am calm.

25% comes from federal and public lands. pretty significant if you ask me, if that were to come to an end.

“Though DOI public land and offshore oil and gas production accounted for roughly 25 percent of America’s domestic output of oil and natural gas in 2016, crude oil production on federal lands fell nearly two percent…”

sigh…

cnn, please do your job

If he’s running against Donald Trump, I’ll vote for Pat Paulsen.

And he’s dead.

Like I pointed out earlier, 89% of unconventionals are being drilled on private land. There are plenty of leases not even being drilled today so we have a good supply that wouldn’t be restricted by Warren’s plan.

If your horizon is “forever” I’d agree.

So, do you support her threatened moratorium, or do you think its nothing more than pandering to the greens in her base? And if the former, what benefit would it provide the country?

And those leases on public land will continue to be drilled. It isn’t as if we will stop.

Okay – one document reported in a Murdoch newspaper – not the multiple documents you were claiming.

Where’s the public record you were talking about? Murdoch’s papers have minimal credibility.

I’m not sure. I likely don’t support it 100% but would be open to a smaller compromise position.
