A memo from Steve Bannon to Jared Kushner about Paul Manafort. It was revealed that all the while Manafort was talking to Mueller he was leaking to Trump what Mueller wanted from him. The attachment with more detail, unfortunately, is missing. But Bannon didn’t want Manafort’s role revealed even though he advised the campaign after he was let go.
I think Mueller played it way too cautious for whatever reason. Sure he found out a lot (which you see if you read the Report), but they ended up as dead ends legally (in the Report) and they shouldn’t have. Maybe all that intense and continual hounding from Trump about his work got to him. I don’t know. But the Report and the memos taken together show a different picture than Barr was quite quick to lay out once it was released.
Should we have impeached Obama because he told us Ayers was just some guy in the neighborhood, or that he never heard his pastors anti American rhetoric?
Yeah we gave him crap about it, but nobody considered it a high crime or misdemeanor.
Obama denounced the statements in question, but critics continued to press the issue of his relationship with Wright. In response to this, he gave a speech titled “A More Perfect Union”, in which he sought to place Wright’s comments in a historical and sociological context. In the speech, Obama again denounced Wright’s remarks, but did not disown him as a person. The controversy began to fade, but was renewed in late April when Wright made a series of media appearances, including an interview on Bill Moyers Journal , a speech at the NAACP, and a speech at the National Press Club.[5] After the last of these, Obama spoke more forcefully against his former pastor, saying that he was “outraged” and “saddened” by his behavior, and in May he resigned his membership in the church.[6]
