Objective face planting is a thing.
no but cnn articles about trump lying shouldnt appear at the top when searching for “trump news” lol
No it is not in question because we know google can change results as part of their business model. The question is whether they actually do it for political reasons and so far we have something that didn’t go down and with which i still have a problem on a personal level. And no there should be no laws about it
No, seriously, who did? Name someone, anyone. Or is this one of those things that feels true to you?
NuffSaid:When conservatives type in “trump lies”, they expect google to come back with “ no results found”.

My wife puts people on the first page of Google, professionally. That’s her job. You know how? Tons and tons and tons of legwork, algorithms, custom software and TIME and EFFORT and KNOWLEDGE. Money has nothing to do with it.
The dericiosion was specifically due to a lack of understanding of the op how seo works. It is still a problem in this thread

why are we ignoring the article in the op showing how staffers consider manipulating these results?
thinkingman: adroit:Who ever argued that it was impossible for Google to manipulate search results? They control the secret sauce, of course they have the ability to…

I had a guy suggest something rather outlandish at work just the other day.
We didn’t implement his idea. Just sayin’. That someone had a bad idea really doesn’t mean a helluva lot.

Just typed in “Trump News” into google.
Top 3 stories - 2 from Fox News, one from CNN
Next down is Trump’s Twitter feed
Then below that are 3 videos - One from MSNBC, one from youtube, and one from NBC News.
None of which discuss trump lying.

No, it illustrates that making accusations based on such scant evidence is a fool’s errand and that such accusations are weak at best and unfair and harmful at worst.
