The house select committee on Jan 6

A republican in the White House and crits insurrecting

To stop the electoral count or something else?

Allan

Sure…or anything else

I would have to know the scenario.

It’s unthinkable that biden whines on and on about losing an election. He lost enough to know how it feels. And orders his people to March on the capitol and protest the electoral count two months later.

The thing is that trump doesn’t know how to lose. Biden does.

Same scenario.

No two situations are ever exactly the same. This enables progressive to special plead their way to justification for any progressive action for any progressive cause, and to special plead conservatives into gulags for any action that hinders propressives’ advances toward total dominance.

I hope they look into this:

Jan. 6 rioters exploited little-known Capitol weak spots: A handful of unreinforced windows

WASHINGTON —

Four major access points that Jan. 6 rioters used to break into and overtake the U.S. Capitol had something unusual in common: They were among a dozen or so ground-floor windows and glass-paned doors that had not been recently reinforced.

And whether by sheer luck, real-time trial and error, or advance knowledge by rioters, several of those vulnerable windows and two glass-paned doors — protected with only a thin Kevlar film added after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks — became easy entry points for hundreds of Trump supporters who overran and ransacked the building on Jan. 6.

Ah! A conspiracy theory! Just what libs need to milk that incident a little farther.

Never heard of it actually.

So…it was an attempted coup.

Senate report details Trump’s pressure campaign at DOJ to overturn the 2020…

A new report released Thursday provides a detailed account of Trump’s campaign to pressure DOJ officials to help him try to reverse Joe Biden’s victory.

"The report outlines that Trump wanted to replace acting Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen with Jeffrey Clark, the then-acting head of the department’s civil division, who devised a strategy with the president for the DOJ to intervene in Georgia’s appointment of presidential electors and to use this model in other states. Rosen and then-acting Deputy Attorney General Richard Donoghue, however, rejected Clark’s proposal.

These efforts led to a Jan. 3 Oval Office meeting that Trump held for two to three hours with senior DOJ officials and White House officials. “According to Rosen, Trump opened the meeting by saying, ‘One thing we know is you, Rosen, aren’t going to do anything to overturn the election,’” the Senate report said."

Yeah… a President of the United States tried to use the power of his office to engineer an overturn of the election that he lost.

That is something that people should be setting their hair on fire about.

But it is just another day as the country crumbles because no one cares.

Well- Trump voters don’t care. In fact I would guess most of them feel it was justified for all the dumb reasons you can imagine.

We have crossed that line now when a large portion of the electorate are willing to end the republic.

As Trump would say…Sad.

The coup laid out.

A coalition of over two dozen influential lawyers are calling onthe California bar to open an inquiry into John C. Eastman – a right-wing lawyer who has recently come under national scrutiny over his key role in Donald Trump’s failed effort to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

Eastman’s plot to undermine the 2020 election first emerged in public discourse back in late September, when it was revealed that he had produced a six-step “memo” outlining various ways in which the former president could challenge President Biden’s victory. CNN reported that the memo – first obtained by The Washington Post’s Bob Woodward and Robert Costa for their forthcoming book “Peril” – directed former Vice President Mike Pence to declare Trump the winner by throwing out electors from seven key states in which the former president lost.

“The main thing here is that Pence should do this without asking for permission – either from a vote of the joint session or from the Court,” the memo read. “The fact is that the Constitution assigns this power to the Vice President as the ultimate arbiter. We should take all of our actions with that in mind.”

Under Eastman’s plan, neither candidate would garner 270 electoral votes, leaving the U.S. House of Representatives with the final vote. Since the House was Republican-led during Trump’s presidency, Eastman figured that the chamber would vote in the former president’s favor.

Trump was desperate to stay in power.

He thought he could.

He thought wrong.
