The guy who shot 16 people yesterday, mad about his engineering job

Our founders made these problems unsolvable.

Have you taken into account the sheer scope of all that is Leftwing claptrap?

Still, I wasn’t speaking of the specific shooter anymore than you were.

When gun safety was taught in schools we had a society no less used to the presence and possible uses of guns than we do now, likely far more so in what is now fly over country.

The difference was the people. Yes, they’d had folks spitting garbage about economic inequality or somesuch at them since the early communists and socialists had crawled out from under their rocks in the 19th century, and you also had ungrateful entitled pukes just as all societies have had them, but the bitterness and obsessions these can bring about if they fester in a society had not festered nearly as much as they have now (when people have become so nutty that some can neither understand why nations should have borders nor which bathroom to use).

The problem isn’t guns. It’s people.

About the only decent theology in the movie Oh, God is that earth has people on it is why it has problems.

But not all peoples are equal when it comes to being likely to cause problems.

And it isn’t a race thing, it’s usually an ideology thing.

It won’t stop all cases. Never said that it would. Suggested it as a way to HELP the problem.

Nice try.

… But I do not accept that the gun is the reason for violent crime.

If they’d had proverbial death rays those generations would have had no more ethical troubles with them than they had with guns.

My other ideas:

National concealed carry permit available (states could still issue their own). Relatively easy to get. Show knowledge of general law, show familiarity with a gun. and relatively inexpensive to get.

Gun Buy Back. Set amount funded every year. Non working guns get the smallest ammount. Working guns get a larger amount (depending on the weapon). Guns turned in are destroyed period no exceptions. Serials number run at the time turned in to see if they are stolen.

You mean they voted for Obama too?

You do realize that the pictures of kids in cages were taken while he was president right?

When I was in college a friend had a handgun and a pellet pistol.

His dopey roommate couldn’t tell the difference.

Which, had he had your kind of gun safety training would have been a big improvement,

… fortunately no one got hurt.

Entire country of Japan is a giant gun-free zone , some might say.

They must average a mass shooting every two hours along with an astronomical homicide rate with the law-abiding citizens unable to defend themselves from the armed thugs who don’t obey law, as we all know

No buy backs. It was never theirs to buy back anyway.

Not mandatory, voluntary . . . so nothing wrong with it.

Have you ever seen a meme on Japanese orderliness?

The comparison just doesn’t work.

May as well site Indians (in India, don’t want to set off any Snowflakes) for proper attitudes about personal space on public transportation.

If people want to feel better about the poor choices they have made by comparing Obama’s policies to what we have seen from Trump, that is up to them. Those of us who have been paying attention know that neither the scope, nor the motivation behind what was done, are in any way similar.

I’m not talking about if the surrenderer did so voluntary, but the tax money being spent by the surrenderee.

Ahh … the pay for play, the cover ups, and … accidents we could have seen under another Clinton administration.

This is much better.

There are quite of few people in Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania who voted for both Obama and Trump.

What does orderliness have to do with anything ? Are you saying Japanese society has no history of crime or violence - suggest you read up a bit about Samurais and Yakuza.

But if Japan is an unacceptable comparison to you still, look up same statistics in Italy.

Same ole conversations. We’ll have 26 or so more firearm homicides per day until the next mass shooting in about a month and a 1/2.

If someone will tell me their age I will calculate how many more mass shootings you will live through. But give me an idea of how long you think you’ll live. If you’ll tell me the approximate ages of your children I’ll calculate that as well.

I think that I have about 20 more years to live.

Doesn’t fit the standard right winger mass killer that libs keep telling us.

Who needs an actual Clinton administration when the right has spent years just making up scandals about her anyways?
