The Trump administration laid out a case for use of the AEA in detail. Itâs been reviewed on multiple occasions here in this forum. I believe only the FBI found it to be credible, with the other intelligence agencies disagreeing. Thus far it hasnât passed muster with the courts.
I donât believe the administration is losing any sleep over the loss of that tool. There are many other ways to achieve the administrationâs objectives.
