The police are not your friends.
That is the anarchist in you speaking.
You would be much less naive if you just assumed everything youâve ever been taught positive about government at every single level was a lie.
Because it is.

It is the truth.
It is the truth.
It is anarchist rhetoric.
You donât have to be an anarchist to realize his statement is accurate. It happens all the time - and of course it happens to people of color and people in hoodies and people in Bulls caps and people with tattoos a lot more often than it happens to you.

Except for the fact that his statement isnât accurate.

Itâs like implying that because murders take place every day in this country that they have become the norm.
Yet true.
Yet true.
Thatâs like saying LW talking points are true.
In reality, they are just LW talking points.
In reality, you are simply reciting anarchist rhetoric. There is nothing truthful about the rhetoric, except maybe in your mind.
Itâs like implying that because murders take place every day in this country that they have become the norm.
No, itâs not like that at all. Murderers are a diverse swath of people involved in violence against others for a wide range of reasons.
Police are a very specific, empowered group abusing the authority they are granted by government. Not even kinda similar.

You are simply making stuff up.
JayJay:
This isnât anarchist in any sense of the word.
If Iâm a US citizen, any interaction ICE has with me needs to end the minute I tell them âI am a US citizenâ.
And no, I do not have to prove it to them.
Quite the opposite.
Anyone can claim to be a US citizen.
If stopped, feel free to resist, resist, resist. From your detention you can scream bloody murder while ICE takes their time to confirm your identity, while you continue to resist.
Or you can quickly be sent on your merry way by simply providing the requested documentation.
Your choice.
Your problem is you think this is the only way the encounter can go because you have a very flawed take on the power dynamic. And those guys love you for it.
News flash- itâs not the only way such an encounter can go.

Within the context of forum discussions, I see those who categorically state they wonât cooperate and those who categorically state they will cooperate.
Most of the linked cases have a common theme. The one being detained refused to cooperate.
Weâve yet to see a link of someone who has fully cooperated, because they were quickly released and have no complaint.
You live in a nice little safety bubble there, peek-a-boo.

Most of us on this forum do. What is your point?

How is it relevant? You canât simply make stuff up and expect not to be challenged.
You are simply naive.

If you donât leave your bubble you can deny the experience of others.
