The Coming Anti-COVID Restriction Backlash

I hope they don’t confuse disinterest for apathy or acceptance.

Don’t feel bad, you and everyone else here has spread the flu around before, and there’s no telling how many people died from those selfish decisions.

But hey, this particular death toll reaches your personal level of concern, so by all means, get on that soapbox and demand everyone else give that same blind obedience. lol

So can the busy bodies.

I’m sure they will. That’s how out of touch authoritarians have become.

Must. Obey. Media.

If the bar is closed, you can’t get in. Better at home than with 300 strangers.

Because 300 angry strangers could never find a way to commiserate with alcohol at another location.

Bars are where the opposition forms.

I’m sure every single protestor was completely sober.

300 people in a bar? Damn, I’ve always called those clubs.

For one night. Because it is THE biggest drinking night of the entire year, the day before Thanksgiving. Bigger than St. Patrick’s Day or NYE. It’s not super complicated. Places are routinely packed to a level that makes fire marshals weep with frustration.

Right…but restaurants aren’t closed are they. They just banned alcohol.

As for drinking in private with bunch of friends shared tight quarters and possibly exchanging body fluids. I think clean environment at restaurant and then people going home afterwards is safer…don’t you agree?

Better to die of complications due to loneliness than the Lung Pow.

From suspending alcohol service, not shutting down restaurants, for twelve hours?

“Sorry that you don’t have anyone but patrons at a bar to spend the holidays with, but you’ll have to be completely alone this year.”

Really? Interesting.

The day before Thanksgiving. Not Thanksgiving. Give it another shot.

I’m not expecting you to understand the ramifications of these selfish demands for obedience. The media-driven emotion is too powerful.

It’s a twelve hour suspension of alcohol service. Places are still open. You already have to be eating to have alcohol anyway, been nine months.

I agree, you certainly know better than me. This is just my profession after all.
