It wouldn’t matter. The law of the land now requires state funding to go to these schools. As governor, your choice would be to fund all religious schools or no religious schools

You should sit this one out.

Maybe, but they also have minimal requirements.

The US isn’t meeting them.

Depends on where the school is.

Texas GOP… have the State fund the Homeschool… zero minimum requirements.

State funding of private religious schools…. Perfect.

Making sure that they meet a minimum standard? …. No way!

Should all tax-exempt organizations that receive public funds pay taxes or only faith-based ones?
There are a host of regulations and rules that come with receiving this money. If the schools start getting the funds they better make sure they have the systems in place to ensure compliance.

Yup. Next level project Balkanization: achieved.

And those will be the next targets in the courts.

Do you have a link or evidence of your opinion?

I thought not.

And there will be a target New York is imposing strict standards to private Religious schools providing a comparable secular education to the public schools… basically strengthening the language that was in place already but was failing kids when it was found that most of the Ultra Orthodox Yeshivas were not even coming close to the bare minimum.

I can see a lawsuit on the future.

Absolutely. I predict two prongs: the first for inclusion (or more accurately, the right to exclude), and the second for subject matter.

For sure. This is a prediction, that I am confident will come to pass.

Please note how I readily owned up to that fact instead of trying to weasel out of it like this guy:

No it doesn’t.

So what?

when did states get the right to treat people differently under the law based on religion? I must have missed it

A while ago. Don’t confuse the ressentiment for the imposition.

Sure it does. It even varies within a state like mine
