At that point, they become unpredictable, obviously oblivious to social norms, and unwelcome. You can’t be sure what will set them off. I’d be friendly but cautious with them and hope they go away.
There are socially normal name changes however. Richard = Dick. William = Bill. But if my friend, Carl, asked me to address him as Harry Truman… I’m cutting the ties and maybe contacting the security office where we both work.

If my friend has such weird changes, I’m not going to know if he will suddenly think he is Colonel Custer and I’m an Indian and we are at the little big horn when we are at the range. I’m following standard procedures for situations where you need to be able to trust someone 100%. Suddenly making a weird identity change … naa… you are now unpredictable.

The whole non-binary pronoun preference is strange, to say the least. It sort of reminds me of games kids play outside and make up the rules, including language, as they go along.
I remember a grammar exercise when I volunteered as a teacher’s helper at the elementary school level. It was a reading exercise where the first graders had to distinguish real words from alien, or made up words.
Well, now those rewriting the language are adults and made up words and rules like calling one person they or ze is now in vogue. Behaviors that once would have gotten one a place in a lunatic asylum are now considered mainstream.
Maybe I’ll buy that Non Binary Flash edition just for laughs & have a little extra trash for the garbage man on pick up day.

You’re really dragging this out into absurdist territory. We’ve gone from someone wanting to be called a different name to a clearly mentally ill individual.
Most non-binary people go by they/them/their. Going by ze is not that common.
They never talked much about trans, I got from them that they hated lesbians. It was something on the lines of hygiene, the way they act with each other, grooming, and dressing. I would imagine you know more than I do about the subject because I can only speak of three peoples opinions telling me this.
But the gay people I personally know or even been around at work or met out are usually always in good shape and dressed to kill.
Whereas the lesbian community which I will admit I know no one in seemed according to them to be the opposite.
Just as the right has come around on women, blacks, and gays, they will eventually be cool with transgender people. It’s just a matter of time. It’s already happening on the fringes… on YouTube there are several prominent conservative transgender people.

Couldn’t say one way or the other if that’s going on. Seems I meet more women in same sex relationships than men here.

Sadly alcoholism is a presence among gay men and women. I had some gay male neighbors in another state years ago.
Seemed every week there was an ambulance to pick up one of the partners as anticonvulsant drugs & alcohol tend to not mix.
Add to it a female female couple, & pretty soon law enforcement was there every week, too. On one occasion the deputy was stuck listening to the slurred sob story of one of the women.
Could be alcoholism makes it difficult for gay & lesbian individuals & couples to get along with one another.
And then to highlight the absurdity and mental illness, you(C) people support legal action against those who use the WRONG PRONOUNS! The fact that some think that’s not a mentally illness is as much of a clinical anomaly as the gender disorder itself.
I’ll stay out of Zoo Yuck.

I can’t speak for everyone on the right from what I have seen the majority on the right’s argument is on Transgender men in combat-physical sports against women, the whole issue on transitioning children, and the pronoun use.
I will speak for myself I don’t care if anyone wants to transition to be a man or woman as long as they are an adult, I do not believe the whole sports things should happen. Sometimes a picture is worth a 1000 words, when did this become the new normal. I would bet if one polled the population as a whole the majority is against this regardless of party.
Outside of those two things and trying to make mandatory pronouns I don’t now nor ever had a position on it. I think most people didn’t give a ■■■■ till they started talking about pronouns, bathrooms, transitioning children and allowing men to play and dominate women in sports. Before that I doubt most people on the right has seen a transexual unless on TV.

Not sure about the alcoholism could be true the ones I know like to party, I don’t have a problem with gay people I have a nephew who is gay as well. I don’t have a problem with a man in a dress either I do have a problem with a man in a dress fracturing girls skull in an MMA fight, I guess I am old fashion like that 
I have read some reports where domestic violence was higher in same sex couples but it seems to be little data out there.
Kids don’t buy into the malleable sex identify chart. They know boy girl done.
