There has been city blocks in the U,S, that have been burned down from protestors/rioters for over five years now because of a police shooting. What makes this one different and glossed over compared to the others.

It is very obvious why what happened on the 6/01/2021 was unique.
That would not be in any job description.

The media has lost diversity of opinion and operation over the last 70 years.

No, not similar in many ways. One shot and killed while actively in the process of trying to break into an obviously highly protected place, and one killed while cuffed on the ground begging for his life with a knee on his neck.
