Not claiming that at all. I know that’s the go to defense by Obama supporters, but not everyone’s complaint is cost related.
We lost our insurance that worked for us. We all had this talk when it happened on the old forum. No need to rehash. There was/is many things wrong with the ACA that left many in a bad position.
I know, but the notion that plan changes were not occurring before the ACA is also false, employers seek new insurers all the time, before and after the ACA.
People think the ACA is some huge inflection point in our system, but it really wasn’t. It was crappy before, still is, and only getting worse.
It was not just that either. Look I know you want to defend the ACA like all libs do and good on ya for thinking it’s the best thing since sliced bread since now those without insurance can get better insurance than those that subsidize it for them, but my issue was also NOT that. Just stop with the all plans change, all prices change excuse for people getting hosed and your side not wanting to accept it happened. It did not makes things change for the better for the most part.
Again, not going to rehash that in this thread or any other. It’s history and we’ve moved on and sucked it up. Some sage advice some may want to consider over the next month or so.
I don’t defend the ACA, I want single payer. It did probably save a family members life though, so I am grateful for that; as a system, it doesn’t do enough and is just more of the same while being subject to political sabotage.
Did Mike McCurry lie about the Lewinsky Gambit? What do you think he meant by “telling the truth slowly”? Did he lie to cover for Hildawg’s gag order lie?
