Some of them do. Some…very few…so I’ve heard from people are saying this was a horrible bad tweet…not racist but everything else and he shouldn’t have said it…
But they are glad he won and will vote for him again.

Said something about, why would Trump say something that would unite the divided Democrat party, inside of stepping aside and letting them continue to engage in their circular firing squad…
At that point, a few minutes ago, I arrived back home and stopped listening.
“We’re not mad about what he said, we’re mad about MEDIA!!!”
“Fake News!”
“He never mentioned race in his tweets.”

Well, he’s got another 3 hours or so of program time to do it in.
Actually, only about 1 hour of that is content, next to commercial and on-air ads.
He better hurry and come up with something for the pathetic sheep.
Right…he just happened to single out 4 minority women, most of whom were born IN this country, while simultaneously not saying anything about the white male members of congress who actually were born outside of this country. I’m sure racism had nothing to do with that.

Good post. And we’re seeing it play out in real time. There’s nothing to be gained politically for any Republican in office to condemn Donald’s tweets. Especially since if they bide their time for just a little while, Donald will tweet something else to divert everyone’s attention from the latest outrage. Right now silence is their safest course.

Geraldo’s last statement is utterly wrong. If Trump has shown anything these past 30 months - 70+ years, really - it’s that he is, in fact, not “better than that”.

Sure! According to Marx there are four basic steps on the way to a communist society.
- Class awareness
- Class struggle
- Revolution
- Communist eutopia
There’s also basically a step 3.5 that gets glossed over call “the dictatorship of the proletariat”. What’s supposed to happen there is that a temporary governing body is established to consolidate all wealth and resources and then evenly redistributed. Once that is done the governing body is supposed disband and it all becomes a big commune.
Now obviously if you’ve paid attention to history you know that no communist country has ever gotten past step 3.5. Those governments centralize the wealth and then say “Well, let’s not be too hasty in divvying all this up”.
So in the end the final goal is no government, but that’s only ever happened on paper.

Can you post his actual words. I don’t want to subscribe to the Washington Compost to read the article. Can you quote what Trump actually said?

My personal view of Trump’s tweet, it was stupid from an inaccurate standpoint, but I think he meant to draw a little ire so the dnc would rally around the 4 making theirs no longer the outlier opinion. Bring the crazies to the front of the party. Nancy has already admonished them and told them to go to the back of the bus. And the line about Nancy gladly buying their plane ticket was a nod to that.
