In the meantime, there was a family at a table. Mom, Dad little boy about 5 and little girl about 3.
The little boy was glued to his phone. Refused to eat.
Dad said, “Hey, Buddy!” “If you don’t eat now, its going to be awhile before we get home and you can have something else.”
The little boy was a complete snot and disrespectful. Why not when his parents placate him and allow him to get away with the behavior.
I would have told him to either eat what is in front of him or he can go to bed hungry.
The parents created the problem by placating. By placating they are making it worse.
Kid isn’t going to starve to death, but a few times of playing games and being on the losing end might just do some good.
