Pro Palestine Protests

That’s a mostly false statement. If by “leaving alone” you mean closing the borders and blockading by sea, then I guess it’s technically correct.

I never have. Hamas should not have staged their border action in October, but Israel is overplaying its hand with a disproportionate response that is costing them support from other countries. It has already lost the PR war. There is no plausible win scenario here.

go find anywhere where I ever said some backwater dumbasses were a threat to a carrier group.

whaaa

There is no such thing as a disproportionate response to a terror attack. Or to any attack for that matter. Overwhelming force is the appropriate response.

The only thing Israel has lost is something it never had, support from Jew hating morons

Isreal did not control the Philidelphia corridor and Palestinians could come and go into Egypt at will. What they could not do was come and go into Israel, for obvious good reason

How many are still alive. Those four were rescued by IDF S/F with the help of some sane Pali citizens providing Intel. How many hostages has Ham-ass shown the media?
Take your time we’ll wait.

I don’t know, neither do you. Israel says there are more than 100 still alive. I don’t know if their intel is any good, but I assume its better than mine or yours. Should Israel keep trying to rescue them or surrender? Which one do you think is more likely to get any back alive?

What a silly question. The same could be said of any of our allies. What has Norway done for us lately? Or France? Or Japan? How about England, or Canada, or New Zealand? What do you think allies are supposed to do for us to prove their alliance?

They aren’t.

No they haven’t. Domestic goods came in by sea unfettered and Egypt controls the southern border. Where are you getting your information? From the River to the Sea movement?

The US doesn’t have allies. It has dependents.

So now you suddenly don’t care about the hostages being kept down in the tunnels?

The civilians would have been just fine if using them as human shields was not integral to Hamas tactics.

Have you no concept of the term “deterrence”?

The US Navy has had a significant presence in the eastern Mediterranean since the 1950s and in the Persian Gulf since the mid '90s. Quit pretending like their presence off Gaza is something new.

Because Hamas is adept at holding hostages.

Four hostages were rescued before their captors could kill them by the way.

C’mon man. Hamas only attacked and killed 1200 Israelis and took 250 hostages because Netanyahu was mean to them? Talk about rationalization.

And again, the 5th and 6th Fleets have been stationed in that vicinity for decades. It is the instability of the Islamic countries that necessitate their presence, not Israel.

That’s false, though.

And again, the 5th Fleet is on semi-permanent station in the Arabian Sea vicinity. They are there protecting international shipping, not because Israel wants them there.

What would a proportionate response have looked like? A strongly worded memo?

Actually, many Gazans regularly came back and forth into Israel to work. Also, the blockade of the ports that Netanyahu haters so decry, did not prevent import of domestic goods. It was aimed at military wares. And after 11 months of combat, one has to wonder how many arms and munitions Hamas had successfully smuggled in since they took over. Given the amount of border scrutiny, would have thought that they should have long since run out of ammo. Egypt must certainly be in on it …
