Every single bit of it brought on by themselves. They have started every single squirmish. When the border was open they continuously attacked and kidnapped Isrealies. They refused every peace plan offered.
Egypt certainly isn’t asking questions of oddly shaped boxes being delivered by trucks disguised as Red Crescent vehicles.
Although I’m not sure if it goes to top. There’s elements of the Egyptian military who have good relations with their IDF counterparts and others who don’t. It’s a question of who is turning a blind eye and saying “eh it’s not my problem, let them Jews deal with it.”
But Just by the headline, I agree with the content. Washington’s power is in the purse. When we allow the fedgov to fund this-or-that (with money it takes from us in taxes, or with money that we become obligated to pay back as federal debt), we accept whatever strings the fedgov tacks on with those payments.
Doesn’t matter if it’s the largest university or some flagpole in the city park. We’ve allowed the tentacles of the fedgov to reach into every corner of society, and there are people who want those tentacles to reach even deeper.
