So, we now know (or at least I did for the first time) that Hamas is getting its weapons through tunnels from Egypt.
Odd how Biden tried to put his foot down on Israel going into Rafah.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have discovered hundreds of tunnel shafts inside the Hamas stronghold of Rafah in southern Gaza, including dozens of tunnels that cross into Egypt.
“Nearly 700 tunnel shafts have been identified in Rafah from which approximately 50 tunnels cross into Egypt,” he continued. “These tunnels are used by Hamas to supply itself with weapons and ammunition. It could potentially be used to smuggle out of Gaza hostages or Hamas senior operators.”

Were I President, I would call on Egypt to aggressively destroy all tunnels or aid would be withheld.
Washington has only withheld $85 million of the aid, which under U.S. law was contingent on Egypt making “clear and consistent progress” in releasing political prisoners, which the United States said Cairo did not fulfill.
That amount withheld is a fraction of the $1.3 billion a year allocated for Egypt.

so the people from Gaza aren’t allowed to cross the border into Egypt for sanctuary but they can get Egyptian weapons… Israel may find another front to the south
