Apparently, the age range of the people who are unvaxxed and showing up to the ER for COVID is 20-60. That includes all these “Communist liberals” in my age group as well.

The people who are 60+ have lived through chicken pox, mumps, even polio…they don’t want to go through that again.

Since the vaccine does not guarantee I won’t get Covid or pass it on to others, how is it any better than a healthy immune system? I’ll just keep eating real food, sans carbs, and get my daily dose of sunlight, and good sleep.

The covidiots do not acknowledge these non governmentally endorsed strategies as valid.

Because a healthy immune system and those other healthy habits are less effective at keeping you out of the hospital and lowering your chances of contracting it.

Less effective than what? Being morbidly obese, taking the shot and ending up on a ventilator? Which data set does this claim derive support?

To date he has been unable to offer a shred of evidence to back his assumption.

Is there data that backs up the contrary?

You know the drill, you make the assertion it’s up to you to prove it. If someone makes the contrary assertion then you can ask them to prove it.

I’ve already explained my reasoning. Is there data that proves one way or the other?

Who would take Pfizer at this point? It’s much less effective than Moderna against Delta. So maybe add that to the poll, Pfizer isn’t effective against delta as a reason.

Good question. Which vaccine shows more efficacy against the Delta variant?

Last I looked Moderna was like 72% and Pfizer 42% or around there. I took the Pfizer earlier but if I had it to do over it would be Moderna.

I got the Moderna, but my wife got the Pfizer and since if she gets covid I’ll most likely get it from her, it pretty much cancels out my advantage.

There is no negating effect between the Phizer and Moderna vaccines. If your wife gets Covid, you will be at no more risk than if she were vaccinated with Moderna or conversely, you were vaccinated with Phizer.

for 90% of people the vaccine is 100% effective
for 10% its 0% effective

That’s not right either. The 10% who still get it will almost certainly not get a severe case or die.

Lest we forget that over 40% of all known cases last year were asymptomatic.

I think that when this is all done and the dust settles, they will find that that number is significantly low. (Meaning that far more people have contracted Covid than the official count shows.) After all, why would anyone go to the doctor or even get tested (unless required) if they don’t feel sick?

When I was in the hospital in July with gallbladder problems, the surgeon asked me about being vaccinated. I told him that I had been vaccinated but I left my card at home (I had come in an emergency ambulance). He said that was why I was listed as unvaccinated. I told the admitting personnel that I had been vaccinated but apparently if I didn’t have my card with me I was counted as not vaccinated. I assume the same holds true for everyone admitted to the hospital.
That makes me wonder about some of the statistics we see.
