I don’t recall the OP starting a single thread about Obama deficit…meanwhile he started couple on this forum with Trump.
I wonder why.

Obama reduced the deficit year on year when he was President. And he was up against the Great Recession.
So far Trump has increased the deficit with accelerating speed…with a robust economy.
So Trump should have increased the spending 2 trillion for his first year and then reduced it so he can say he reduced the deficit?
Trump isn’t going to hit 1.4 plus trillion in his first year as Obama did, then 1.3 trillion the next two years.

Part of the reason that percentage is so low is that many fiscal conservatives like myself have had it with the Republicans, and have pretty much distanced ourselves from the Republican Party after “healthcare for all” Donald Trump got the nomination. A lot of us now consider ourselves independent. I, for one, will not be a part of a party that adds to the deficits - whether that is Democrat or Republican. Both are now fiscally liberal.

Their party is in power. That’s all that matters. Just look at some of the most vocal Trumpists here. They, in no small part, simply elected Trump to troll the Dems. So now that an R is in office deficits don’t matter. Debt doesn’t matter. Adultery doesn’t matter. Foreign policy doesn’t matter. Decorum doesn’t matter. All that matters is Trump talks ■■■■ about Dems and any other population that FauxCons hate. Hollywood. Athletes. Canada. England. France. Germany. Australia. Poor people. Minorities. Gays. Immigrants. I’m kinda enjoying watching the Republican tent shrink.
