Two entirely different things.
That would be an awesome thing… but we won’t do it.
As a country we used to subsidize college a lot more. That got cut waaaay back and the result is piling debt onto people. That is obviously failing an entire generation.
Correcting the course and not making it worse has to happen at some point.
This is an action that will make millions of people’s lives less crappy and be a net positive to the nation as a whole.
We all know this… which is why the only argument against it is to depict it as unfair to plumbers.
When everyone has a degree, guess what Fry Guy will have
Nah… every time the GOP takes power corporations get more government sugar… not less.
It makes one more special than those who don’t.
At least you’re no longer trying to hide your stripes …
What does that have to do with me? You said I would approve? Can’t you keep up with your own spinning?
Evil corporations. 65% of new jobs

As a country we used to subsidize college a lot more.
When?

Why don’t you admit where you’re really going with this … free secondary education for all.

I have never hidden anything.
Eduction should be heavily subsidized. Helping out actual people instead of funneling resources to corporations is a thing that I believe government should do.

There is no spinning.
It is very easy.
The GOP will complain about spending when they think it will crate a wedge to win them elections but will never ever complain about spending that helps their donor base.
Ah how cute you think they are paying the student. News flash they are paying the school and charging the student
What does that have to do with me? Back up your claim

Okay… maybe you won’t vote for the GOP.
I could be wrong.
so you agree with everything the Dems in congress come up with good to know. Again bookmarking this.

everyone loves free money. that’s why democrats buy votes that way
All someone has to do is create a webpage titled, “Majority of Americans Support This Lib Dumbassery!” and look at how it automatically gets lapped up with faithful fervor, without a (D)oubt to be found.

Is there a way to support welfare without being accused of that? Or is it no-win?
there definitely is. welfare should be used for actual “relief” (which in some cases it is colloquially called) for those who need it vs a pre-midterm vote buying scheme where something someone purchased by choice expecting to pay for it themselves is paid off by mommy democrats.
But even before this whole college loan thing was introduced y’all accused the Democrats of buying votes via their support of welfare programs.
that’s because to great degree it is true.
what business? university endowments may give the business, but they are not a business. they niether buy sell nor serve anything but themselves
