I would definitely remember the scene of the crime. There is absolutely no doubt about that. Any normal person would.

The single most memorable moment I ever had at a house party was watching a guy jump through a third story window when the cops showed up, land right in front of me, jump up and run off perfectly fine, only to vault a wall with a ten foot drop onto concrete on the other side and break his ankle and other than who’s house it was I couldn’t answer any of those other questions. How’d I get there or home? Dunno. What time of year was it? Dunno. Hell, what year was it? Dunno. Sophomore maybe? Possibly junior?

I remember this one party where these college kids were throwing a Kegger to pay rent and there was some kid at the door with a Mohawk and a hatchet collecting cover fees of $2. Funny thing really is…Fast Forward 12 years and the guy whose house it was and threw the partys became my neighbor in another state. Weird.

I’ve been gone for a while. I was mountain climbing/ backpacking the Teton Crest trail. I went too pee and found myself eyeball to eyeball. with a black bear 20 feet away. It wasn’t really skeered, but five years from now, I could take you to the exact spot it happened.

Or, maybe like many women who go through experiences like this, she did not want to experience the attention that comes with outting yourself a victim of sexual misconduct. Nor the drama and societal pressure to “not ruin the poor young man’s life”.

Particularly when the man-boys are from an affluent private school.

Most people are, but not all.

But more specific. Swimming pools in that part of Maryland are opened from about mid-May to mid-September. Sometimes opened a little earlier, sometimes closed a little later.

That narrows the window some for the part of the story claiming she was 15.
