I always approve of white collar crime being prosecuted, so that’s the entirety of my thoughts on the subject. Let’s give them the kind of investigation and sentence we give twenty year old kids for possession with intent.

The NRA has filed suits against the state of NY for the closing of “non essential” gun stores, firearm ranges and actions by the state of NY that the NRA believes are in violation of the 2A. The NYAG is a Democrat, timing is about right to discredit an organization that throws its support behind the Prez.
This is akin to the St. Louis city attorney Kimberly Gardner’s persecution of the McCloskeys on a larger scale. Might even include the fabrication of charges based on tampering with evidence. Extra butter on my popcorn, this could get yummy!

My understanding of the Trump case was that the Foundation agreed to dissolve as part of a stip agreement. Whether the AG has the power to force the dissolution by force of law seems unanswered.
And yes, while it is true that the Trump charity settled, and part of the settlement agreement was the dissolution of the Charity, had they not entered into a settlement, then the AG could have continued to pursue it to the end.

The NRA’s chief executive, Wayne LaPierre, wrote a letter to the board Thursday accusing North of plotting to remove him from the group by threatening to release to the board “damaging” information about LaPierre. North continued his resignation letter by saying he believes the NRA should establish a committee to review the organization’s finances, which he said constitute a “clear crisis” that “needs to be dealt with” if the NRA wants to continue to be a viable organization.
