How dare elected officials who represent their people question Trump crazy town.

their choice for president lost. :man_shrugging:

Trump represents the people too. (Actually, many more people than any member of Congress.) Why do you have a problem with that?

doesnt change the fact the bombing is an act of war.

A point that I have never contested.

Try again.

Yes. Your point?

ā€œMIGAā€. Trump coins make iran great again and talks of regime change

lets get the purple dye ready for the voters in this new democracy.

trump has turned neocon before your eyes.

Allan

i dunno. regime change is exactly what that country needs. revert back to a time before maniacal ayatolla-ocracy. there’s lots of talent and spirit being oppressed there

No he’s not even close to being correct.

Yes because as we know the United States is AWESOME at handling regime change.

oh i wasn’t suggesting we do it. it needs to be organic. let these people take their country back

let’s see this tyrannical form of govt relegated to the ash heap of history. or at least start on that path

btw that would be actual ā€œprogressiveā€ for humankind. not dudes using the ladies bathroom.

We are awesome at changing regimes. We just stupidly believe that we should be involved in trying to mold what follows.

I love all of these pro Iranian, anti Israel democrats. It’s amazing to see. Easy to say when you live in the states.

I have a sinking feeling that over the next several weeks regime change will become the buzz word and discussions will turn to the US taking action.

There will be lots of spin but it will come down to a repeat of the last ā– ā– ā– ā–  show we had in the middle east.

I hope I am wrong.

But clearly doesn’t say that change comes from us.

the best way would be organically.

But it never happens organically the way you might expect.

Certainly it doesn’t happen after foreign powers come in and start attacking it.

Germany thought Russia would collapse if he invaded because the people hated Stalin’s rule and would welcome them as liberators.

It didn’t happen because no matter how benevolent an invading army tries to cast itself, it is an invading army and it galvanizes resistance to it.

Iranians happen to be very patriotic. Even though they detest their current rulers, they will not rise up in rebellion while Israel and the US are attacking their country.

It won’t happen, and anyone who thinks it will are being foolish.

well there is no ā€œinvading armyā€ here.

history shows it’s not foolish to think dictators can be toppled and freedom will prevail.

not very ā€œprogressiveā€ thinking

They depend heavily on oil themselves. I’m hoping they are sensible enough to leave oil production alone. Otherwise, it would be a simple matter to take theirs out as well.
