Does overtime get categorized as separate form of pay? Because at the end of the year I am taxed on my income not the time in my workday I made my income.

no it wouldn’t. It would work similar to SS now. You do realize that SS is taxed as straight time on OT pay… right? Your taxes would be calculated on 40 hours pay and on the W-2 the excess income would show as non-taxable and not be included in your AGI.

It does not matter what I believe. It is a basic fact. Remember, Reagan lowered the top tax rate from 70% to 25%. Then taxed SS to make up for part of the lost revenue.
Tax cuts for the rich, then tax people on SS. And the debt still exploded…
