Or the 1967 war was only possible because Johnson had already given Israel access to US arms supplies and green-lighted the war.

Eisenhower had refused to send arms to Israel, and he forced the Israelis and their British and French allies to withdraw from Sinai in 1956.

Kennedy ended the embargo in 1962 and allowed the sale of air-defense weapons. Johnson greatly expanded arms sales to Israel before the '67 war.

No troops, weapons or intelligence sharing during 1967 war.

Interestingly enough, it was only in the aftermath of Israel’s decisive victory in 1967 when the arms sales to Israel really shot up starting with the sale of Phantom fighter jets in 1968.

Strategically, Israel displaying its dominance in the region in capturing what it did during 1967 is what catapulted United States military support for Israel, not the other way around.

Ironically Israel made their gains in the 1967 war after being attacked by 3 Arab countries at once.

Those countries would have lost nothing if they had just allowed Israel to live in peace.

You saw exactly what Hamas wanted you to see. And to that point, there would be no dead civilians, if Hamas wasn’t using them as human shields.
