New Pew poll: Most Americans have unfavorable view of Israel

image

Is an end to the blank check for Israel on the horizon?

Or is the solution to make criticism of Israel a hate crime as proposed by the new congressman from Florida?

I don’t want to believe what you posted up here.
OR …if I am ever persuaded to believe it as being true…then there is something horribly wrong with the mentality of Americans who gave those answers to the polsters.
No…don’t believe a word of it.

Make it a hate crime !!!
It’s all HATE. No logic. Just hate.

Pro-Israel groups have lost control over the narrative.

Images of dead civilians, videos of demolition of homes, talk about expulsion of the entire population of Gaza, impending war with Iran, etc. are clearly having an effect.

It is also work-around to destroy the first amendment.

Fine’s proposal would make minor offenses into felonies based on a hate-crime adder. When combined with selective enforcement, that means that practically anyone can be locked up if the government does not like the message.

Jaywalking is a minor crime. Jaywalking while wearing the wrong button is a felony.

They didn’t LOSE control, they were run-over by the loud mouthpieces on the pro-Hamas side.
It’s not first time in history that masses were bamboozled by liars and noise-makers.
Look how Nazis rose to power.
Look how Rome rose and fell.
And the World eventualy came back to their senses.

Same will happen here.
People will rave and hate and bamboozle and after a while come to a reasonable conclusion.
Izrael is a victim, not an instigator.
Remmember that. That will keep you on the right side of the fence…for now.

Hamas propaganda in the LIB dominated press is having an impact. And not surprisingly you are celebrating it.

I don’t believe having one more ā€˜Hate Crime’ added to our lifes would afect the 1st. Amendment and the rights to it.

ANY law can be manipulated and missused but we don’t shy away from having new laws.

And it’s not the presence of a law that causes misery it’s the ACTIVISTS in the key positions of power that use those laws to their advantage by perverting/missusing them.

So…make it a hate crime and don’t let the pro-Hamas Activists use it and abuse it.
Ship them all out of the country.

They are subjected to pro-Hamas propaganda almost constantly. So it’s not surprising.

Bingo!

The media is controlled by the left. The left is pro-ham-ass.

Also polls are meaningless. They can design questions to get any response they want.

Not to mention way too many variables involved.

Hear hear. :+1:

I don;t know anyone other than the woke libs out there that dislikes Israel.

Here are my takeaways.

DEMs overwhelmingly have an unfavorable view of Israel. It is shocking but not unexpected. They are the ones being heavily influenced by the pro Hamas MSM reporting of alleged Israeli atrocities.

Obviously, your views on Israel and most US military topics are very liberal.

We have seen weaponized sham prosecutions against Trump and his allies. Fine’s proposal is going in the wrong direction.

Realize that Fine’s proposal would not be limited to anti-Israel speech. One person’s free speech is frequently considered hateful by others.

Displaying an Israeli flag in a Palestinian Arab neighborhood could be considered hateful even if it is protected speech under the first amendment.

There is also a big age difference. Half of Republicans under 50 have unfavorable views of Israel.

Republicans 50 and over are the only group that is still strongly pro-Israel, but even there support is declining.

Religion is also a big factor in the poll results.

Evangelical and Jewish respondents strongly support Israel.

Everyone else is mildly to strongly negative.

Apparently a lot of antiemetics on the woke lib side of things.

Yet another of their ā€œendearingā€ qualities.

That’s true.

They can control the outcome of the poll by the way the questions are worded.

The way questions are asked can have a big effect on the outcome.

On the other hand, the change from 2022 to 2025 should not be affected so long as the questions remained the same.

The Gallup poll shows a similar trend.

Pew is an anti-Trump poll.

Biden and Trump have had essentially the same policies related to supporting Israel, so I don’t see how an anti-Trump bias would be a significant factor in the results.
