Religious and medical building lose their protected status when someone uses them for combat operations. Hamas is using them to station troops. Thus no protection under the Geneva Convention.
What would you expect Hamas to say? The statement isnât in dispute. It is a known fact that Hamas uses schools, hospitals, mosques, etc⌠for military purposes. The only ones who are in denial are LIBs who hang on Hamasâs every word.
No, you donât. The blame rests with Hamas, not the IDF.
If Hamas didnât use hospitals for military purposes, they would all be standing today. Why would any country intentionally target a hospital for no reason? What could be gained from such an action?
This one is worthy of another response, to amplify my previous one.
It is a sure bet that every scene where the press is allowed to photograph, has already been staged by Hamas. They have surely removed any bodies that could be confused with Hamas fighters. Hamas fighter bodies have most certainly been removed. Women and children will be found. If none are there, they will likely be placed there from other locations.
Once everything is properly staged, the press will be allowed to roam the scene freely in order to express maximum outrage.
Iâm a fence sitter on Israel, meaning I donât like how this tiny little slither of land the size of New Jersey has dominated world news in my lifetime. I am completely neutral meaning I donât really care.
But letâs be honest theyâre Muslims who have been dying in the tens of thousands in several Islamic countries over the years all over the world especially in Syria and Yemen, and not a peep, nor protest, not a march to end a war, no freaking out on campusâŚSilence
But if one ingredient is added to that equation âJewsâ well that seems to change everything doesnât it. I think people need to ask themselves why that historically is, and if they come up with any answer other than this is who they are told to hate in the Quran and being taught by everyone from their parents to their leaders to hate Jews, they havenât been paying attention or refuse to take their fingers out of their ears.
What does get me a bit peeved is when the Islamists attack, then we start hearing these completely retarded phrases when Israel retaliates like âproportional responseâ which no time in history has a military won a war with a proportional response. And we would definitely consider the attack on October 7th as an act of war.
I donât remember reading about the proportional response that the Soviets had against the Germans in World War II or the proportional response that we had in the our wars, etc., etc. etc
Because if someone brought that up, they would think theyâre ridiculous. What did they think would be the response of killing 1000 Israeliâs on October 7th? I just donât feel sorry for these people and I feel more loathing for the people who are trying to just return things back to the way things were before and the borders before the war and go back to the occasional yearly bombings and terrorist attacks.
Israel would be stupid in my opinion to let Hamas stay in power, especially at the time they are now with the war. The world is not a better place with countries running on shariah law.
Saw someone bring this up today - how come Gaza doesnât have bomb shelters ?
So much effort and resources spent on offensive weapons like rockets/launchers, small arms, anti-tank missiles, IEDs - and of course, an extensive network of tunnels thatâs served to house Hamas fighters.
But apparently not a single bomb shelter designed to protect civilians ?
The narratives about Hammas using civilians as human shields implies that the Israeli military actually wanted to avoid civilian casualties.
The reality is the oppositeâIsraeli AI (âLavenderâ) avoided military targets and instead hit homes at night. Killing 100 civilians to hit one alleged target is a price that the IDF has been willing to pay.
. . . the army also decided during the first weeks of the war that, for every junior Hamas operative that Lavender marked, it was permissible to kill up to 15 or 20 civilians; in the past, the military did not authorize any âcollateral damageâ during assassinations of low-ranking militants. The sources added that, in the event that the target was a senior Hamas official with the rank of battalion or brigade commander, the army on several occasions authorized the killing of more than 100 civilians in the assassination of a single commander. . . âWe were not interested in killing [Hamas] operatives only when they were in a military building or engaged in a military activity,â A., an intelligence officer, told +972 and Local Call. âOn the contrary, the IDF bombed them in homes without hesitation, as a first option. Itâs much easier to bomb a familyâs home. The system is built to look for them in these situations.â âLavenderâ: The AI machine directing Israelâs bombing spree in Gaza
Hamas has revised its casualty figures from the Gaza war, removing hundreds of names from its official list of war fatalities, and revealing that 72% of those killed between ages 13 and 55 were males â a demographic largely composed of combatants. The updated figures contradict Hamasâ earlier claims that most casualties were women and children.
The hospitals in Gaza were fortified (and connected to the tunnel system) and controlled by Hamas and used to conduct military operations. And before they were attacked by the IDF, the civilians were warned to evacuate. But apparently either (or both) the civilians chose to stay and become martyrs, or Hamas made them stay in hopes that it might defer the attack or make more martyrs. Nothing like dead babies in a maternity ward to pull at the heart strings of Libs like you.
You saw pictures of dead Palestinians. They told you they were civilians. According to the casualty figures cited by the Palestinians, there is no distinction between combatant and civilian. As @peek-a-boo said, you donât know what youâre talking about. Itâs all emotional blather.
