New Bipartisan immigration bill

You’re not making any sense. So Biden’s open border was victimless?

Bipartisan seems to mean Republicans agreeing with the wrong side…

The bill is decent. Have to see what it looks like if it ever moves

There are multiple victims.

Every American who has to pay a higher price for food because of the increased demand is a victim

Every person who has to pay higher rent because of the higher demand is a victim

Every person who could fill a job an illegal holds is a victim

Every business forced to hire illegals in order to compete or go out of business is a victim

Every child in school who has inadequate help because resources are squandered on illegals is a victim

Every person who has their identity stolen is a victim

Every American who pay taxes while these criminals work for cash is a victim

The US produces more food than it consumes. The US agriculture system produces enough for 136% of our population.

Well, it did until MAGA decided it is a good idea to deport the people that work the farms.

Right, the illegal entry itself is victimless.

  • so is picking a lock and walking into a jewelry store late at night.
  • so is drunk driving
  • so is a group of guys trespassing and pulling a cattle truck up next to someone else’s herd.
  • so is a crazy women walling into a Christian school with a loaded gun.

The fact that the a crime is vicitmless does not mean the law should be repealed/ignored.

Who was the victim?

Now you’re getting it!

Name one.

Here’s one thread on this:

The crimes with victims are not because of illegal entry.

If an illegal commits a crime with a victim; try him, convict her, sentence him, lock her up.

Just like anyone else.

If you try and convict them, I don’t care if you lock them in CECOT.

But don’t treat grandpa the same as a murderer.

Correct he should be treated like the career criminal his is.
Worked illegally (stole another man’s job) day after day eyar after year.

“But but . . . I’m an old man. I’ve been robbing banks a long time. You have to let me keep the money, exonerate me for my past crimes, and make it legal for me to keep doing it.”

you. you are a victim and you won’t even acknowledge it.

You pay more in the grocery store because of the increased demand on product of illegal aliens

renters in your community pay more because of the increased demand on hosing caused by illegal aliens

You pay more in property taxes to educate illegal alien children

You pay more for emergency services because of the increased demand on those services by illegal aliens

You pay a higher share of taxes for every illegal alien getting paid cash

Snce January
Foreign-born employment down 543,000.
US-born employment up more than 2 million.

Weird huh? It’s almost (a little like) when ya get rid of foreigners, more Americans get jobs.

A recent June jobs report from the Labor Department revealed a sharp drop of 348,000 foreign-born workers from the previous month, with a total decline of over 543,000 since January.

In contrast, U.S.-born workers saw a gain of 830,000 from May to June alone, bringing the total increase to more than 2 million since the start of President Trump’s second term in January.

Enjoying the fruits of america is not a zero sum game.

Here is a quick list of then programs
based on the knowledge that increasing population is bad for an economy.

Perhaps you are right and we should defund these programs?

:us: U.S.-Led Projects
USAID Family Planning and Reproductive Health Program

PEPFAR Integration of Reproductive Health

Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Initiatives

U.S. Global Health Initiative

Population Reference Bureau (PRB) Projects

:earth_africa: UN-Led Projects
UNFPA Reproductive Health and Rights Programs

UNICEF Maternal and Child Health Initiatives

Global Strategy for Women’s, Children’s and Adolescents’ Health

UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 3 & 5)

UNFPA “State of World Population” Advocacy

I have no idea what you are talking about.

These things have become more expensive as the US population has increased?

It has to do with the diminishing marginal productivity of capital inputs and labor.

History says that a significant upswing in the labor force, (more babies more immigrants etc.) pushes down wages.

On the demand side, the impact happens a second time.

Absent things like . . . government created ponzi schemes (SS), imprteing labor lowers the standard of living and deporting them raises it.

This is commensurate with the supply and demand models and is such a widely accepted fact that the US and the UN fund projects to reduce birthrates.
