Stop trolling.

If you think higher profits mean lower prices, you are gravely mistaken. By would they pass profit to consumers.

I have a CDL, so around what I was making at the very least. At minimum starting in the low 20s. Maxing out in the 30s. I wouldn’t drive around the block for 15 an hour.

The only myth is that illegals do the jobs Americans won’t do. Americans won’t work those jobs for what illegals accept as compensation.

Their overhead could be 0 and they would still price to sell. Everything around that is subject to change.

Couldn’t do what, eh?

If being a CEO is such a great gig, why dont you apply? I am sure with your vast experience, you would be a shoe in.

Perhaps… Do we really need to be served at chipolte or starbucks? The faster the wages rise, the faster the jobes will be replaced with automation. Do we really need people to brew a cup of coffee?

To be honest, if I’m at a restaurant, i’d rather have a person over some dumb gimmick like a robot or balloon, drone, trained dog or monkey, what have you.

As an individual, I have to make a profit if I want to keep a roof over my head and food on my table. If I want new things, I have to make enough of a profit to be able to pay for it.

When I was 18, I was unskilled so I made a tad over minimum wage. Now, I can afford nice things because I utilized my training, experience and skills to become more valuable.

Sure, but then you pay more for that service, and the baristas are trained like any other profession.

The problem is the vast majority of people would rather get their stuff as cheaply as possible. I personally would much rather a machine. If my order gets screwed up it is because I screwed up, not because some stoner couldnt get it right.

I’d have to experience that first to make up my mind? I mean…a trained dog or monkey? I like it.:sunglasses: :tumbler_glass:

You’re giving people too much credit. Most people want cheaper without a loss in quality. The general public has always had a hard time with the concept of you get what you pay for. They instead complain, as opposed to coming to that realization. As cheaper options become available, service dwindles because the more expensive option is out of business.

Well said.

People get what they deserve. I’ve seen people buy garbage bags with ties just to save 2 bucks. If people want a giant salamander serving them, good luck to you. If I wanted to make my own coffee, I wouldn’t go to Starbucks.

The problem is not making profit part. The problem is exploiting employees part.

People will pay a premium for service, just look at DoorDash. Automation while great will never fully replace people until there is a way to get the same quality of service with quality of product.

I vote with my dollars. More than a decade ago, the wife would buy Espresso Blend Starbucks to make our morning pot of coffee. I loved it. When I ran the numbers, one pot per day exceeded $1,000.00 per year in business with them. Then the CEO decided to get into politics.

I haven’t bought a damn thing from them ever since.

More like the CEO got into politics that you didn’t agree with.
